Stayed for 1 night in our campervan - lovely little spot camping amongst the vines (for free !). Arrived late afternoon - had a small personal tour / tasting with one of the ladies who works there. Bought their 26 euro meal boxes for the night which were amazing! Home cooked pork with cheese, bread and desert - portions were massive (had enough for lunch the next day!). Would recommend!

Lovely place to stay. Located in the grounds of the chateau and vineyard. Electricity included and it’s FREE for 48hrs !!! Lots of organised tours of vineyard and nearby citadel available by mini train or horse drawn cart, and no sales pressure. Only criticism is the horses had no field shelter from the scorching heat.

What a joy for us to know that the service you received met your expectations. Just to know, there is a place in the horse park where the trees protect from the heat all day. But I know it's difficult to see this place from the road. Thank you for taking the time to explain the reasons, and see you soon at the Chateau Marquis de Vauban.

This is a Beautiful place, just behind the citadel which was granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 2008. We visited in Aug 19, in our Motorhome, this place offers the chance for those in self contained motorhomes (ie: ones with onboard water and waste tanks, toilet and shower facilitys) to stay up to 48hrs free, and allow you to stop in numerous places around the grounds, including in amongst the vines, truly a lovely place to enjoy some lovely wine while watching the sun set behind the vines.
A beautiful old building and only a 10min walk from the town.

The owner of our B&B offered us to buy a promotion: a 3-bottle set of Chateau Cones wines plus chateau visit , wine tasting and lunch for 2 for 70 euros. It turned out truly excellent. The tour of the chais was informative and entertaining. We missed out on the ride in the caleche because of appalling weather, so we enjoyed some more wine instead! At lunch the wines, different one with each course, were astonishingly good, all from the property. The food was excitingly away from the banale. I have never tasted sturgeon before! All served in an undercroft in the chateau. The wine we took home in our pack was also excellent. Altogether this offer was great value

We stayed at this vineyard in our van amongst the vines, lovely place to stay and the wine is rather nice, its only a short walk into town through to open spaces and the Citadel or Fort, we were pleasantly surprised by the small cafe's and shops, everyone we met were so friendly and most wanted to make a fuss over our German Shepherd, we will be back there soon.

We were given a voucher for a visit and lunch In Chateau Marquis De Vauban and we were not disappointed once we got the booking sorted. An interesting experience with wines to compliment the various courses and a trip on a motorised train to view the Fort. We greatly enjoyed our experience and would recommend it to fellow travelers

That was something really special! The chateau is beautiful, we felt very welcome and at ease. The meal was a series of excellent dishes, which were sublimed by the wine that we were provided with... and as much as we wanted! The owners were so nice, and were rich of many fascinating stories about the local historical events, with a subtle touch of humor added. We definitely laughed a lot! We also visited the wine-making facilities, with plenty of explanations and details, without it being overwhelming. It was just a perfect afternoon. We heard about it by a word-of-mouth, but this place will get very popular in the next few years. We hope to come back with friends next time!

We had the lunch + degustation + visit to the winery for 28€ and it was one of the best day of our holiday. The stuff was very prepared and polite. The place is beautiful and well kept. The lunch and the degustation they offered was well done and abundant. They also offer a visit on a horse carriage to the near by Blaye, which is lovely and has an interesting citadelle to visit. The whole afternoon was incredible and we left very happy and full. Recommended!!!

We happened to get a personal tour for our family, and it was very good. The owner, who took us round, spoke excellent English, was lovely, and very interesting. The wines (Rose and Red) were very tasty, and my one regret is flying hand luggage out so I could not bring back some.

The cat (Marquis) is also adorable :)

A beautiful place run by super friendly people. Just enough room for our 8m van but a quiet, unusual place to stay. The wine is great and the area lovely. Just be aware that some of the facilities may be unavailable in winter. We had snow in Feb!
