Major site of Aquitaine, Listed as Historic monument. Stop for Sunday strollers, this barony will enchant art and history lovers. Two castles from different periods, built on a rock terrace surrounded by a rampart, are overlooking the Dronne.

Amazing renaissance castle full of interesting wooden carved furniture, tapestry, paintings and pottery. The medieval castle with its keep has great views of the adjacent river beneath the cliffs. Brilliant audio guide which two people could share without ear phones.

Set in the middle of Bourdeilles the Chateau and adjoining Castle are a worthwhile visit. Stunning views from the top of the Castle Keep over the wonderful gardens. A little overpriced at EUR 8.70 per person but a worthy visit.
