Although it's not a big zoo, it has a good variety of critters! Our 5 year old loved the free roaming birds and got a kick out of them eating out of the palm of his hand. The Lions were really active & were playing...More

It was a small zoo, nicely laid out. We bought food to feed some of the animals but it did not take long to see all of them. I thought it was the zoo was overpriced for the amount of animals. They had a small...More

Nice, affordable small zoo. Spent about an hour here. Wish some of the enclosures were larger for the animals. Nice facility. Would give it a "5" if they had real restrooms. All they had were dirty port-a-johns the day we visited. 30-40 minutes west of...More

This is a nice well maintained zoo. They have a good variety of animals that you can experience in a more personal manner. The people who work and run the facility are deeply committed to their animals. I have been several times and it is...More

This place was a great place to stop on our day excursion to taqumenon falls, Oswald bear ranch and whitefish pointe. The drive west of the bridge on highway 2 to the zoo is stunning. The zoo itself was well maintained with several animals to...More

Really enjoyed ourselves here. We four adults were impressed with the well maintained walkways, very comfortable under foot. For a small zoo it was VERY well kept, the animals seemed relaxed not stressed and they had plenty of water & shaded areas. It's sad to...More

My husband likes peacocks and when looking for a place to see peacocks this place listed them. Convinced hubby to go to U.P to see this zoo for a day date while visiting our cabin. Such a great experience and fun time! A peacock was...More

What a neat place. Many of the animals roam freely around the zoo. You can pet them and feed them. Additionally, they have a collection of animals not seen at most zoo's.

If I am not mistaking they do have a wheelchair ramp to and from the Gift Shop. I have seen others use wheelchairs while there, the ground is well packed but not paved.
