I thought the electric boat would be a bit boring but we loved it! And we were allowed to jump of and swim. Such nice water and not at all cold.

It is a very beautiful lake, but artificial, and full of playing people. I prefer the rivir that runs to it.

We stayed in Moustiers St Marie for one night and drove down to the lake for the day. We pulled off right before the bridge and it was easy to rent a pedal boat. They also had kayaks for rent but we figured that wouldn’t be as relaxing. The path through the Verdon Gorge took about an hour round trip. It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve been witnessed. You could hear the birds flying all around the gorge and the photos were out of this world. You don’t need to wear anything special. I had flip flops, pants and a sweater. You get on and off the boat from a dock so you won’t get wet or dirty. The boat was a little dirty so don’t wear white. There is space in front for two more people or to store your stuff. Do not miss this if you are ever in the area. You won’t regret it.

Rent a paddle boat with a platform and go out into the centre of the lake. Jump into the beautiful water. It is one of the most refreshing things we experienced on our holiday. The water is a beautiful blue colour and is refreshing on a hot day. Surrounded by beautiful scenery it was a spectacular experience for us. The lake is better than all the pictures we checked out. It was spectacular!

We saw the lake from a distance while we were hiking in the hills. The next day we hiked to the lake from Moustiers Saint Marie (about 1 hours' hike). The lake is popular for water sports although we did not see anybody on the lake when we were there in September.
