Very cool places to visit

It's educational, fun and if you're lucky, you can get to go during an event or during the farmers market.

For a nice walk and a step back in history head over toMeroidian Histoeical Village. A good wedding site as well. No activities here, just a collection town buildings being preserved by a little lake.

A lovely little recreated village. The gardens are fabulous and show that the volunteers who tend them really care.

Meridian Historical Village is a well put together collection of the way life was during the early years of Meridian. The docents are quite knowledgeable. Visit on a Saturday during the summer months between 9 and 2 while the fabulous Meridian Farmer's Market is happening. The Farmer's Market has expanded right up to the village entrance.

The Meridian Historic Village is very quaint little village. It has realistic depictions and actual historical buildings that have been transplanted to the area. The people that work there have a great deal of information to share with you, too.

It's a great place for kids, who can fish from the dock. The nearby Nokomis Learning Center is a must for everyone interested in Native American history and culture.

this place is really nice to stroll through and enjoy..nice big pond to reflect. Most buildings are locked so you need to know when they are open for viewing. I used to help out here with the buildings and they all need upkeep at all times so it is a hard job to do and with little funds. The members do... More

This isn't Greenfield Village, but for our area, this is a very quaint collection of history. I see many school groups visiting; it's the perfect size for a small field trip. I would definitely visit.

This village hosts a school house, farm house, boarding house, school, church, log cabin, general store, and toll house. These are authentic buildings transported from around the county. Check their website for public days: www.meridianhistoricalvillage.org/ Nice location: In the same parking lot as the Historic Village, you can see the Nokomis Learning Center www.nokomis.org (Ojibwe culture), and a robust farmer's... I took out-of-town family (adults) here and we all enjoyed touring the Village and the adjacent farmers market. The historic buildings within the Village are open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. However, they are manned on a volunteer basis so not all of the buildings were open during our visit. We did see the inside of the... More
