We didn't know quite what to expect, but once we got down all those stairs to the spring it was magical. Lots of little streams and waterfalls wandering this way and that, and ducks out on the river. Much more impressive than Oqueoc Falls in...More

We come here almost every Fall. It reminds me of when I grew up in the hills of KY. The beautiful springs, the woods and hills to climb. Great views once you get down the steps. There are 300 and climbing up can be daunting...More

This place is so much more than we originally thought. The views and sounds of the running water are spectacular. Pictures don’t do it justice. There is a climb of about 300 stairs to get there but very well worth it. We were in awe...More

Traversing the steps can be hazardous, so make sure you bring your Yaktrax in case it's icy, but the quiet, peaceful, cold, white ethereal atmosphere of the springs area in winter make it an entirely different visit than one in the summer.

This Scenic park has awesome views of the Au Sable River. There are well built steps leading down to the water's edge. The steps down, though well maintained, is not the best idea for out of shape people! There are rest rooms and picnic tables...More

This is our first stop on vacation and worth the look. There are three hundred steps down which means three hundred up, so pace yourself and don't forget the bug spray. At the bottom you will find the spring and walkways to many beautiful views....More

The springs are peaceful and beautiful. We happened to be the only ones there when we went. Sitting by the water listening while we ate our lunch.

The springs are not conducive to swimming. The ponds are small and shallow. Visitors are supposed to stay on the boardwalk. There is a great beach on Lake Huron in nearby Alpena.
