I lived in Ossineke when Paul and Babe were South of town close to the campground. It had a gift shop, petting area and a tower where you could look through binoculars onto Lake Huron.. Days gone by. I believe it was a Boy Scout project that got them moved to their current location

Here they are (again)--Paul and Babe. Ossineke is not noted for being the birthplace of either one, but it is "up north". Worth viewing

We heard about this from a local friend. We loved finding it and taking the classic family picture next to it. The only problem was there isn't any parking next to the statue. We had to park across the street and run across. Worth a visit.

Not much to do other than take a couple photos, but where else can you take a picture of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox?! A favorite of the kids.

My daughter is a teacher and had her picture taken by Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox and showed it to her students. They loved it and hearing the story

It's Paul, larger than life. And Babe, all happy and blue at the same time. Stop for a photo. Enjoy some fresh air, and then head back out on the road.

We have been all over MI. and to us this is the best statue of Paul & Babe by far. I made a mistake in an earlier review when I posted my picture of this statue in Oscoda. I have a picture of that one too. I did not like it as well although it was interesting. I hope my... More

This place is a simple off the photo spot. Worth the stop to talk about the story of Paul Bunyan. We frequent the IGA at the corner when we are at my my parents place on Hubbard Lake.

This is just a small, "pull off the road park", but a great place for picture taking and telling the story of Paul Bunyan and Babe the blue ox.
