We visited a decade ago and it was just a gravel parking lot, a footpath to the falls, and all the locals in lawn chairs. What a change! Now it's got a nice big paved parking lot with decent vault toilets, a paved walkway to...More

Hadn't been here and wanted to check it out since it's the only waterfall in the lower peninsula. The DNR has built a huge parking lot, paths and a picnic area so it's well maintained. I've seen so many wonderful waterfalls on the UP so...More

I loved the falls. They were easily accessible and very picturesque. A great place for a family outing on a warm day. wading and swimming is encouraged but I would recommend some kind of water shoe.

The only waterfalls in Michigan's Lower Peninsula may not compare to what the U.P. has to offer (especially Tahquamenon), but they're certainly worth a visit. The site is well-maintained and the falls photo-worthy. And surprisingly, apparently you're allowed to wade into them! (Wasn't expecting that!)...More

I was vacationing with family and we stopped at the Falls to let our kids cool off and play in the water. The water was cool and provided hours of fun to my kids (11 & 13, whom didn't want to leave the Falls). Don't...More

My wife and I were returning from celebrating 40th Anniversary in the UP and found this! We visited the outstanding Bond Falls up there, but this one has a unique feature...you may go IN the water! I didn't have water shoes but it still worked....More

This is an out-of-the way State park that is really beautiful. It is a tiny falls with the river winding around the forests. A nice walkway to the falls as well as a concrete viewing area once at the falls. Lots of families were visiting...More

I love this place and when I first started visiting about 10 years ago, I was often the only one there. In the last year it's been busier in the summer, but I like winter and spring best. Besides the pretty little river, there are...More

I was pleasantly surprised by the wide paved walkways leading directly back to the beautiful stone lookout of the falls. There are tons of areas for picnics at this very well maintained facility. We took a few of the short dirt paths to get a...More

My parents own a house near there, and if you want to talk about renting, contact me, but I have never camped in that area.

Hi there. I do not think you can hike in because there is no place to park unless on the side of the road. When you get to the falls you can walk in the water and go up the falls to the other side of the road. If you live... More
