Mom looking for a new challenge and adventure...and I found it! Immersion week- beginners whitewater kayaking course, with Endless Adventures.
I’ve only had experience ocean and lake kayaking....and this was the perfect course and introduction to Whitewater kayaking.
The owners were great- Chris and Andrea, providing a welcoming and safe experience which included the implementation of safety practices and plans, in line with the Provincial COVID directives.
While I’ve heard great things about all of the instructors with Endless Adventures, I need to give a shout out to our instructor, Ari. Ari’s calm, cool, reassuring demeanour, was noted throughout the course while he adapted to each individual kayaker’s, skills, abilities, learning styles and confidence levels.
Ari ensured we had a fun and safe learning environment and we learned so much.
While the three day course was exciting, fun and exhilarating, it also was a great introduction to whitewater kayaking, which I plan to continue.
I will be signing up for more courses and instruction with Endless Adventures. Great experience!

Since we have done a couple raft trips and kayaking courses for the kids with Endless Adventure over the past couple years, I wanted to experience the river more one on one, too and signed up for the Beginner Kayaking course. Knowing that I’d be safe with the crew I managed to come out of my comfort zone. Hell, what a blast this course was!!! Challenges that seemed hard to manage at first, like even straight paddling, training emergency exits, rescuing techniques, reading the river, In and out of eddies, ferrying, tilting, balancing rapids, with the great guides from Endless Adventure and the support of my group I was able to tackle them. Everyone In the group was given the support they needed on their individual level, everyones’s success was cheered. Once again, Endless Adventure provided an environment where I felt safe and well being taken care of every step along the way from a bloody beginner to confidentially going down the elevator waves on the Slocan River. I highly recommend any trip with them and I will be back!!

Whilst on holiday in Canada from the UK we decided to try out white water rafting as an activity. However Chris sent a kind email informing us that the water levels were low so might be better and more fun to do white water kayaking. We happily agreed to go along with his recommendations to make the best of the trip and adventure. On arrival, Chris greeted us and advised where to park and that have the option to do white water rafting or kayaking giving pros and cons. We decided to try white water kayaking and that’s where our adventure started. Chris advised to test the water before going over for the wet suits to decide on how much gear we would need based on how cold we think would get. He provided all the wet gear you would need including full body wet suits, wet jackets, splash jackets and wet boots. We were provided with life jackets informed of how to make them secure and safe along with a helmet. A quick walk across the road and we were at the water. This process felt very smooth and Chris put us all at ease and advised us through each step of the preparations but then the real adventure began…
Starting with the basics including safety, rules of the water, information of the craft and equipment, what to do if capsize etc. Throughout our kayaking journey, Chris was extremely informative but always fun and calm. We learnt about the basics of kayaking through different structures in the river including eddies, rapids and currents whilst also learning about the river and surrounding area. We got to practice capsizing so that if it happened would be prepared. It was an amazing experience and got to experience different rapids including the Turbo Cranker which was the more intense one but did lots of practice before so meant felt prepared what whatever happened along the way
All in all a brilliant experience with a brilliant instructor and would definitely recommend to anyone from beginner to more experienced and of any age.

Great crew and super safe and fun experience.
Loved that the guides encouraged us to push comfort levels. Water levels allowed all 16 of us to body surf the Elevator waves at the same time.

I went in June on a nice sunny day (tide is usually high in June). It was beautiful.
I signed up solo and there were five others and a guide.
Staff is professional. I highly recommend going at least once if you live in the West Kootenays.
Not many people know about Endless Adventure so people need to spread the word!
There is a distillery nextstore and it is great to have a drink before or after.

I took this class so I could feel more confident on the river and it was sooooo well done. I loved every minute of this course. Annabelle took our safety very seriously and she was fun and easy to learn from. We progressed from just trying to paddle straight to conquering a class 2 rapid in just 2 days of instruction. I can't wait to do more classes. This was a very empowering experience.

Exhilerating..... Sam is an awesome guide. We had so much fun and felt very safe and well informed on our trip down the river would highly recommend this excursion. Thank you everyone for a wonderful adventure! The checkin process wasnt as fluid as we would have liked.... but once we hit the water, all was forgotten!

We booked a family adventure on the gentle cruise with our kids and grandkids. We had a wonderful day! Beautiful scenery, perfect weather and the water was lovely! Immature Eagle buzzed over our heads.
We highly recommend this trip for families looking to escape the summer heat and enjoy the beautiful Slocan river. Big smiles all around a spectacular day.
For those wanting a more advanced challenging adventure, that is available as well on the 2nd part of the river

I went on a 2-week whitewater kayak trip with Chris. He is a superb paddler & river guide! But, more than that, he works really hard to give his guests a great experience—and has an uncanny ability to anticipate whatever you might want or need…. He is also a great cook, and his good cheer and enthusiasm are really contagious 😁.
