Dewstow Gardens are Grottoes are recently discovered gardens built in the 1890's. buried in the 1950's and rediscovered and escavated in 2000. We are now open for the summer months and welcome visitors of all ages including pre-booked coach parties. Please check out our website for further details.

These are not formal gardens but consist mainly of grottoes, tunnels ponds and water features and rockeries - nice and cool in the recent heatwave. You can wander around at will -a very pleasant way to spend an hour or so.

Lovely place to visit. We enjoy having a wander around the gardens and grottoes. Very peaceful and loved the additional fairy houses and gardens that have been added to one of the grottoes since our last visit.

When we first arrived, we thought it was quite small and not a lot to see, BUT WE WERE SO WRONG!!! There are lots of lovely pathways through beautiful hidden gardens, with stunning scenery. And then the grottoes! They are beautiful! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit....More

There were lots of children running about the lawns and gardens when we visited. They were enjoying the grottoes too holding parents hands. I can think of a lot less child friendly places :)

I did not see any dogs when i went. Not really a dog place.
