Reminding me of the tourist towns I visited with my family as a child, St. Ignace had a few throwbacks. This was one of them. Promising AMAZING VIEWS if you climbed to the top, my husband paid the $1 fee while I waited in the...More

What a FUN Place ! Cool Gift Shop, Very Unusual but the local women working here were a riot and very nice ! It was Fun to browse (with no pressure) and although we went on a rainy, cold day , could have been better...More

Whether you spend 20 minutes or 2 hours here, it's worth the stop. The climb to the top was a bit steep, but the view is worth it! The gift shop was nice. Very friendly staff.

I love places like this, so distinctly American, so emblematic of 1950s-60s roadside Americana. Castle Rock fully embraces its kitschy character and you leave there feeling happy and like a kid again. It costs $1 to climb the 100 steps to the top of Castle...More

Great views from the top of Castle Rock so hopefully it is a clear day when you stop. Cost is $1.00 to climb. The shop has touristy stuff...And is free to browse.

Its 170 steps up. View is ok but nothing spectacular in my opinion. If its in your bucket list, its ok to go up. The fee is only $1.00 so you can't go wrong! Note, there is only one bench on the way up to...More

JUST A LOT OF FUN. ☺ A lot of steps though. Brought back a lot of memories from childhood for a couple of us.

Hubby and I went on a foggy day. It's $1.00 and takes about 5-10 minutes to get to the top. I was sick and he had a pinched nerve and we stopped a few times so it maybe took us 15 minutes. If I hadn't...More

Only a dollar a person to go up these fairly steep steps. You will be tired by the time you get to the top but there are plenty of places along the way to stop and sit on a bench. Very pretty views once you...More

Other than the poor steps....it is a great view. The only place that you can still do something for a buck! And the kids get their legs stretched!

I think it's about 200 feet or so? Once you are at the top, you can see way over the treetops and over to Lake Michigan. If you are afraid of heights, you might not want to go up – there is a narrow catwalk that goes from... More
