Pleasant even on HOT days
Aug. 2018
We visited on a 90 degree August Saturday. There is enough shade and enough open space for a breeze to be comfortable. We enjoyed the annual antique tractor show. Visitors and exhibitors were very friendly! We have landed here with kayaks as well. We have not used the campground.

Nice place
Aug. 2017 • Family
This has been a take-out or put-in site for MANY canoe trips on the Pere Marquette river for me and my family for decades. Camped here several times even though we live with-in a couple miles of it. Relaxing, clean, friendly... what more could you want in a place to camp? As an added bonus, in the back section of the park is the Old Engine Club grounds which has a show and demonstrations every fall.

Lovely relaxing park, campground and much more

This little campground is quite a gem. It offers quiet camping, a swimming pool, shuffle board and disc golf course. It is located minutes from Lake Michigan. I have recently taken a group of kids here on numerous occasions to fish and play disc golf but most recently to swim. The people are friendly and helpful. The campground is very clean and open spaced. $25 for rustic sites and $30 for hook up.

Relaxing

Spent a few days there in a family member's trailer. Very relaxing and quiet. Clean shower building. I'm looking forward to spending a lot more time there.

Nice for Camping
Jun. 2016 • Family
Nice park with a pretty river running through it. We went to a wedding on it's shore. It is a nice place to camp; clean bathrooms and showers and it has a pool. Campsites are nice and each has a fire pit and picnic table. (I didn't see campsite numbers, but I may have missed them. ) Our friends camp there frequently and like it. Also a pretty river for canoeing and kayaking and there is a rental place nearby.

Just the most relaxing spot to visit in the area. The park is just beautiful. Very modern and perfectly laid out.

Sweet riverside relaxation

Sweet little park retreat. Two campgrounds nearby too. Close to town and canoe/kayak livery. Small fishing river and a small boat launch across the street away.

Great campground, great value

We needed a place for the weekend - and most places were full. Wal Mart DID say we could stay there, and we were appreciative. I was referred to this campground by another camper, and am glad I was. Riverside Park is a pretty location by the Pere Marquette River. There are about 50 campsites, all with electric, water [a rarity in the area], and even cable. There is a dump station for sanitation. The campground features a very nice activities shelter - there was a high school reunion and birthday party when we were there. On the weekend there is a "train" ride - a tractor pulls little cars, each of which holds a child. They loved it! Fees were reasonable, and we'll stay there any time we're in the area.
