The museum staff is friendly. the US Coast Guard boats are unique... I've never seen any USCG them in any other maritime museum, and I've been to many a maritime museums. The covid situation but a bit of damper on the boat tours, as you had to charter the entire boat. Was a bit disapointed that the lightning sailboat wasn't available to see due to flooding and such. But it's worth the price of admission and the time to walk around a bit.…

The museum and staff are wonderful and the museum is excellent and ever expanding. They feature a fleet of antique and replica boats available for rides. It's great!!

One of the best things about the museum is that you can buy tickets to ride old classic boats and go out on Lake Michigan. My wife and I road the Coast Guard boat.

Fantastic trip on the Friends Goodwill, only problem is that the trip just doesn't last long enough. An exceptional crew and a beautiful ship. I wanted to stay on it all day. We took the Pirate Cruise. I knew it was geared more towards kids (I don't have any) but it was a lot of fun with them on board.…
