We go to Gingerman Raceway and make a family trip out of it. I truly enjoy this park with all the trees! Note: Wood burning rules to change in 2018. The park will have a vendor to sell firewood that has been heat treated. (My...More

We visited this park and campground during the month of October. We rode our bikes from Downtown South Haven. Loved the beach, lots of pretty rocks wash up from the lake. The campground sites seemed close to one another but they were fine. No paved...More

VBSP is my go-to beach for rock hunting, and I can tell you it’s a different beach every time I got. My most recent visit, yesterday, was much sandier and also had biting flies for the first time this season. Still, I found great fossils,...More

Went there after labor day and after 5 pm so no crowds to deal with. The working rest rooms have running water and flush toilets and hand dryers. The dryers are temperamental. After walking the length of the beach it does not seem that long....More

Campground is typical of Mcihgan State Park. Be a little cautious if you have a big rig - some of the sites are more difficult to navigate. But there are quite a few that will acoomodate larger RVs. Beach is about 3/4 mile walk from...More

Decided to try this beach after North Beach. No comparison. North beach is much nicer and bigger. This beach has beautiful rocks to look at but hurt your feet when going in water. Not much sand.

I'm not positive, but since they just started renting bicycles last summer it is possible. However, we are in our January thaw right now and our snow is diminishing in the SW part of the lower state.
