Nice display.

I liked the Inuit display, I'm not so much into the mixed media, which was the main show. It cost to get in and we got there an hour before it closed. I would have liked to... read more

I liked the Inuit display, I'm not so much into the mixed media, which was the main show. It cost to get in and we got there an hour before it closed. I would have liked to spend more time there, we didn't know when it closed.

The Experimental Art show was great fun . I went with two friends who are artisits themselves and we had lively discussion about the art we were seeing. We also visited the other exhibits of Inuit art and the works of Norval Morrisseau. There was a special day for differently abled to view the exhibits--I did find it ironic that... More

I am pleased that you enjoyed your recent visit to the Dennos Museum Center. We too found it not only ironic, but disappointing that the automatic door opener malfunctioned just at the time we had the exhibition related to the differently abled on view. We are replacing the current automatic door openers with an entirely new system, with hopes that... More

Stop here for a visit every time I go up North. Been here since my daughter was four, she's nineteen now. Very kid friendly and a lot of excellent exhibits.

Beautiful modern building, easy parking and access. Permanent collection of Innuit art, plus special exhibits. When we visited, there was a stunning exhibit by a Chinese artist called "Hiding in Plain Sight" which was a commentary on Chinese culture and society under communist rule. A++. The Innuit art is also first class.

This museum is just outstanding. Some of the displays are permanent, but there are also several large areas with temporary exhibits that change every few months, so you can go again and again and always see new things. Everything is accessible for people with disabilities. Our favorite room is the discovery exhibit, where our grandchildren love to go. They dance... More

While visiting Traverse City, a short rainstorm put the kibosh on our outdoor activities for a little while. So we scrambled to find something kid friendly and indoors to wait out the rain. We found this little gem while doing some quick googling on line. It is a small place but has beautiful art throughout. There are several exhibitions, which... More

We happen to go when they were in the process of rotating items. What we did see was very interesting. There was a whole wall plus of decorated donuts! Also what I would call "string" art that was unusual.

This was about the third time we've been there over twenty years, and thoroughly enjoyed it again. Their Inuit collection is truly outstanding, can't say enough positives about it. They also had four other exhibits there too. The staff were very friendly both in the museum and gift shop.

It was a pleasure to become a supporter of this fine and important Traverse City ikon. I have attended concerts, receptions, gallery openings and various other events and enjoyed them all.
