Nice Time!

Shops and restaurants were very cute and unique. The history of the hospital was intriguing. Definitely time well spent!

We toured the Village about 7 years ago and then again one year ago. Nothing has changed. It seems there are no new shops to speak of. Shops are expensive. Appears that time stood still with any expansion. The history of the village is interesting, but not worth a return visit.

This is amazing place with history, it has been converted into restaurants, shops and places to beverages. I love how the rooms still have the feeling of the old times and what it was. We have returned here almost every time we come to Traverse City. Sometimes for shopping other times for drinks or dinner.

This is a MUST see & stop for anyone in the Traverse City area. Do plan to spend some time browsing around the many quaint shops , including elegant boutiques, craftsmen jewelry & wine shops, even just walking the halls of the commons to see the artwork on display. Not to mention the excellent eateries, candy/confections ,and cheese cake boutiques! It... More

We would love to do the official tour of this place. Next time we're in town, and hopefully with older children, we will. The whole place looks pretty cool. The stores and restaurants area is nicely remodeled and is perfect for the winter as everything is inside.

We had a wonderful time visiting the at Grand Traverse Commons. We had dinner at Stellas, which had great service, our appetizers were amazing, wasn't hot about the entree. The building has a lot of shopping and beautiful paintings. Would like to take a tour someday.

Build 50 is awesome. The remodeled space is very unique. Every Saturday in the winter is a farmers market with lots of goodies....located in the building you will find wineries, micro brewery's , bakery's , gift shops , clothing shops and restaurants ....definitely don't want to miss Building 50 on a visit to TC...

Business trip that happen to coincide with Bernie Sanders visit! Our conference room was very busy, but the staff was professional. Neat restaurants and coffee shops. The accommodations were outstanding. Would recommend it to anyone, and will return for another stay.

The old State Hospital in Traverse City served the mentally ill from the late 1800's until the late 1980's. Several large old building were pretty much abandoned until a development team came in to turn them into mixed use (condo's, offices, shopping and restaurants). The tour focused on how the hospital operated, how patients were treated and allowed us a... More
