We went with children of 12 and 17....and we're pleasantly surprised. It is well laid out and on two floors...not too restrictive for little ones. There were exhibits that could be touched....overall excellent for a private collection. Lovely shop too...worth a visit.

Fort William is a little disappointing, although the Nevis range is stunning. We spent an hour at this museum which was both interesting and educational. Lots of nice exhibits with a good gift shop. Worth a visit but won't take up lots of your time!

This is like a Tardis, an unassuming cream painted building but inside, caverns of beautifully lit gemstones and fossils.m A fascinating visit, but the welcome could be a little warmer at reception. This may be down to the lady on duty not being from Scotland,...More

A touch on the expensive side at £16 for the 4 of us (8 and 5 yr old) but it was an interest 1 hour. Good gift shop with some interesting fossils.

They have some interesting displays, if you think its just a load of rocks you would be wrong, the displays are well thought out and you get a chance to buy trinkets made for the items on display.
