Beautiful and worth going to see.
We walked down and took the little bus back up. There is a two dollar charge but better than walking back up lol
Very nice walk on bottom of ocean. A once in a lifetime experience

Great couple of hours exploring the conservation area. The museum is only open on the weekends, until July/Aug when it was open daily. Their was no open at the front gate, so its by honor system. $4 per person, we left $10 in the envelope since we did not have change. Although there were many cars in the parking lot, it appeared we were one of only a few who actually paid, which is a shame.

Fun day! We spent about 4 hours here. It is beautiful with hiking and fossil searching. Travelling on the trails or on the rocks in the stream was great fun. Had a lovely picnic lunch. The bathrooms are the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen at a conservation area (or almost any public attraction) ever! The front gate staff was friendly and knowledgable. I would def visit again.

We came here for the Falls; but was very impressed with the fall colour. The trail down to the Ausable River was simply beautiful. There was lots of people, have to park all the way to the top. My only disappointment were Museum not open and the low water level.

Normally I'm very critical with my reviews, but this place is very fun. I'm quite lucky to live near it.
1. Fossil hunting: you can find tons of different fossils to bring home (bring a bag to put them in, there are a lot) and even trilobites, though they are almost impossible to find, I've found one or two, both not even that big. Very fun to scavenge around and fun to climb steep formations.
2. Trails: Quite a few short trails, lots of options. Lots of different pools of water to go in (I suggest a shallow one for kids) and not confusingly large or complicated. There are also a few animals here and there, though I don't see many. The waterfalls are very fun to watch and play in, it's also not too dangerous unless you walk all over the place.
3. Animals: I don't see many, but there are frogs and toads, and apparently flying squirrels and other cool animals, although nobody thinks about the animals because there are what most people would say more interesting things to do, since it's not really a hiking trail.
4. Swimming: While I haven't swam there, there are some waterfalls to play under, and lots of bodies of water to choose from. There are big enough ones for pool toys and floaties, but many small ones to just splash around.

That's about it, have fun!

Just called to see if Rock Glen Conservation was open. I was told that yes it was but there was no washrooms which is what I expected. She told me that they want local visitors only, I live in Sarnia which is in the same county and under the same health unit. I think it is important to follow all of our governments and health units guidelines but I also think going to a open local conservation area for some outdoor ‘r and r’ should be encouraged. Her remarks were rude and inappropriate. Won’t be going there in the future.

This is our favorite place to come for the day. We came during Covid-19 so the bathrooms and museum were closed. You also were not able to go down the steps to the waterfall. The only way to see it would be walking up the bottom of the river.
This location does charge to get in but it's worth it. Pack a lunch and stay abit. Make sure you check out the trails at the bottom of the stairs. Soo many stairs.

I loved the trip to Rock Glen Conservation Area! I recommend not only going for the waterfalls but the rock museum with thousands of rocks, genuine gems and fossils. I went during the summer first thing when they opened for the day on the weekend. When going I'd recommend going on a weekday if possible and maybe in later afternoon or evening instead, for fewer crowds. With the gigantic crowds, you can't really move without bumping into people and can't get those photos we all want with the falls and not get tons of people in the shot. If you want a more relaxing time go when it's less crowded and plan to do other things close by if it's busy and then try back a little later for a little more stressfree trip here. You can go downstream and find fossils. There are so many things to do here. I'd actually love to get married here.
