We drove the road up to Palisade Head and the view at the end was amazing! We enjoyed watching the lake and the rock climbers scaling the cliffs alongside where we were sitting. Definitely worth a stop! Watch for crazy drivers on the road though,...More

we stopped here on a whim - glad we did - great views - many places to wander and get a new perspective. high cliffs with drop offs for those with small children.

The view here is gorgeous. I'm glad we were there when it wasn't crowded because it might be tricky getting down the road with a large vehicle when others are going the other direction.

This one of the best lake superior viewpoints in the north shore scenic route. The driving route to top is narrow and steep but the view from top is worth the ride. There are no amenities around and the parking is limited too.

Palisade Head is beautiful place to stop along Hwy. #61. I think lots of folks drive by Palisade Head without realizing what a interesting and scenic spot it is. There are few places on the North Shore where you can get such a great view...More

My daughter wanted to visit so she could get some pictures. Because it is not commercialized at all it feels like you discovered something unknown, especially since there were very few other people there. You have to watch for a small sign to find it....More
