I've lived in northern MN my whole life and have never been to Giants Ridge until Saturday when I took my 13 year old daughter and her friend skiing. We had a blast! It's been 20 years since I've been on downhill skis so I thought I'd better sign up for a lesson. I called the night before. I have... More

Excellent adventures for the family....We snowboarded all day with very little lift lines. Only down side, they need to remind patrons to alternative...lots of kids (without parents) budding in line....

Surprisingly good conditions and took advantage of early season midweek. We like better than Lutsen because of hill layout not to mention price. Try not to miss apres ski at the Burnt Onion: Their head chef, who studied culinary arts in Chicago and then worked at a well known Italian restaurant there, knows a few things about authentic Italian cuisine.... Giants Ridge has just completed construction on a new chalet. It is beautiful. Much bigger than the old chalet. The ticket counter is state of the art. Huge rental center. It has a gift shop full of souviners and those things you may have forgot at home or lost on the slope. The new restaurant, the Burnt Onion will be... More

We spent a weekend here in September, and loved hiking the ski area, biking the Mesabi Trail that runs through the resort, and kayaking on the adjacent lake. While we don't golf, the course looked fabulous.

The Legends golf course is one of my favorites. My wife played it for the first time and loved it. Playing again today.

There is a lot to do at Giants Ridge year round. We golfed both the Quarry and Legends and took advantage of the free golf for kids after 2pm. It is a great deal on 2 beautiful golf courses. We also fished on Wynne Lake, biked the Measbi Trail , hiked Sleeping Giant and more.

This is one of the best locations for cross country skiing in the northern MN area. The trails are varied and very well groomed. I will be returning as often as I can.

Disc golf, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, golfing...all summer options at Giant's Ridge Recreation Area. The golf courses (The Legend, The Quarry) are among the best public courses in the country and prices have come down over the years! Younger, adventure-seeking persons can bike up and down the ski trails, enjoy a quality disc golf course, and families can enjoy... More

Our scout grouop stayed at their housing in downtown Biwabik on the way to boundary waters. All the dealings we had with the staff were super friendly, the setup was ideal for a scout group and their youth protection policy, the game room was great for the boys, and the kitchenette made for an easy breakfast and quick get-away.
