Oke, Oke, I'm a little biased because I'm a huge fan of Prince. His euphre is incredible and it was therefore exciting to visit Pasiley Park. It still breathes Prince and everything he stood for. The tour is great and at the end you enter the large concert hall, where he used to give personal performances at home. Really got goosebumps, especially because they play clips of his music. It is beautiful and will definitely visit it again.

I have been wanting to come to Paisley Park since the day it opened. Obviously, it was a business for many years but a fan can dream! I went on the Ultimate Tour which is the most expensive one you can go on. But I urge anybody who is a fan to save the pennies and opt for this one. You will get to visit all the studios and hear unreleased tracks and insights into his working processes. Hearing his vocal track in isolation on Breakdown in Studio B was incredibly moving. A special shout out to Tommy, our tour guide. He had some great stories and was so passionate about Prince and his music. Even if you are just a fan of music, I can't recommend this tour enough.

A little expensive but cool experience
I purchased the $100 VIP ticket which seems a little high for the rooms in which we were able to visit, but I must say what we did get to see and learn was amazing. Please note, there are strict rules in place such as no cell phones or even gum chewing on the property. Prince never allowed visitors to take pictures of the inside of Paisley Park when he was alive so it’s understandable the tour company honors those wishes. If you are even the slightest Prince fan (and let’s be honest, who hasn’t heard of Purple Rain) this is worth visiting! Laurel was an amazing tour guide! I’m glad I can mark this off my bucket list!

Must stop visit in Minneapolis area!
There are not many times when you visit an icons home loving the person more than before you visited the place. I learned more about what a musical genius Prince was and to see his recording studios, sound stage, his wardrobe, instruments all were amazing! Our guide was great too! This is a must place to visit and to understand the greatness of Prince

I was a little worried from some of the negative reviews, but it turned out to be a great tour. At no point were we rushed or treated like criminals or any of the other negative things others have claimed. Yes, they had us secure our phones for the first part of the tour but there were plenty of photo ops at the end. We were asked not to touch anything but that should be expected. Both the young man checking us in and my tour guide, Ivy were excellent. I also enjoyed having a one on one chat with Ivy about other non-Prince related Minneapolis music history. The only negative is the gift shop is a little pricey but what isn't these days?

    Worth every penny!
I did a tour with Carrie (I hope I got the spelling right) today and I genuinely had one of the best experiences of my life. My guide was so attentive and knowledgeable, making every moment of the tour feel personal and meaningful. Her passion for Prince’s legacy truly shone through, and she shared so many fascinating insights and stories that brought Paisley Park to life in a way I could have never imagined. The attention to detail throughout the tour was incredible, from the thoughtfully preserved spaces to the interactive exhibits. It was an emotional and inspiring journey that gave me a deeper appreciation for Prince’s artistry, vision, and impact on the world. I left feeling profoundly moved and grateful for the opportunity to step into such an iconic and sacred space. Thank you, Carrie, and the entire Paisley Park team for making this experience unforgettable. I would recommend this tour to anyone—whether you’re a lifelong fan or just beginning to explore Prince’s music and legacy

I'm not sure what I expected from this visit, but I will say that I left BUT didn't want to leave (if that makes sense). A friend and I booked our Ultimate Tour several months ago, I couldn't wait to go. My friend had been before, on the VIP tour, but we chose to do the Ultimate and we were NOT disappointed. She said that this visit totally topped the VIP tour she did.. Thanks especially to our Tour Guide Tommy! He was awesome, he had so much knowledge and stories of his time spent with Prince and following him all the years he did that it made our experience more personal and awesome. I was sad that camera's were not allowed, so we could take photo's during the tour.. BUT I will say that all in all it was worth it to be able to focus on listening our guide talk and tell us his stories and to learn things about Prince I did not know before. But we were however able to have our phones unlocked and take photos'/videos in the last 2 rooms and we were SO excited that we were 1st in line to have our phones unlocked and get into that room! The music that was playing throughout the tour and in the studios made it so much fun, it made you want to sing and dance right along with the music. The Ultimate experience was a little on the pricey side BUT if someone asked me to do it again... I would!!! I grew up listening to Prince, and I have a memory to go along with alot of his songs, so it was truly an experience! The Memorial wall was also worth the visit, to see all the things that have been left to honor him, and all the messages in the tunnel it was heartwarming to see, read and leave our messages too.
Let me just add that in a time when Covid has stopped us from living, Paisley Park did a fabulous job of keeping us safe and socially distanced and when we are not able to go out to the clubs, go dancing or see live concerts.. THIS was the next best thing!

I am a GIGANTIC Prince fan so take that into account, but I do believe a casual Prince fan or just a general music appreciator would enjoy this tour as well. If you're a BIG fan you HAVE to do the VIP tour. Worth every dollar. If you're a casual fan there is a shorter and less expensive version of the tour too. Pray that you get Tomi as your guide (although I'm sure the other guides are great too!). Tomi was extremely knowledgeable and kind. Myself and others taking the tour would throw him questions throughout the tour and the man could not be stumped!

It's true that your phones are in a locked pouch for the majority of the tour, BUT a new feature is that in the very last room of the tour (the concert venue Prince performed and filmed in) your phone gets unlocked from the pouch and you are free to take pictures in there. There is plenty to be snapped at. Sure it would have been great to get pictures of all the fantastic things I saw on the tour, but I found it to be a relief too that I wasn't burdened with wanting to pull out my phone and wait for others to clear out of the way so I can get MY picture as well.

Paisley Park is an experience you will never forget or regret.

Currently, in the time of covid, this is the only museum open in Minnesota. They are adhering to protocols to help it stay open. They really do not affect the quality of the visit.

Advance purchase of timed tickets are required. There are locations that have spots marked for people to stand like in the entry. A great deal of the guests can wander and enjoy exhibits. The group movies through several rooms with plenty of time for viewing.

Cell phones are placed in a sanitized pouch at the beginning of the tour and released later in the tour where photos are allowed. This policy has been in effect for less than a year and is a nice addition.

Interesting tour.

Absolute disappointment! After reading other people’s rave reviews on this, we opted for the $80 tickets because the ultimate experience was sold out (thank God we didn’t waste that much $$!!) - for $80 ($90 inc fees + Tax) each ticket , we got two hours of touring a few of his studios, a concert space area, instruments, some of his costumes, some handwritten lyrics and two of his cars.
The group had to stay together and there
was a ton of security so no looking around at our own pace like other museums.
Even if you get The Ultimate Experience , you still don’t see any of his actual house.
No pictures until the end, lots of fluff with showing old videos and group engagement.
Do NOT waste your $
Not worth it.
Plus $40 each way for Uber from north loop in downtown. :(

This is a must see for those who know who Prince is. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time and they sell out fast so book a month or 2 ahead of your trip to Minnesota. Length of tour on what tour package you purchase (ultimate 3 hours, VIP 120 minutes and experience is 90 minutes). Parking is free and there is bathrooms on the tour. Your phones will be locked up in a pouches you carry with you so no video or photos on the tour. All of his pianos, instruments, recording equipment, motorcycles, cars, a boat load of shoes, clothes and much more is there. I loved every minute of our tour. The only negative was that the gift shop has minimal things there to purchase.

Good trip. We arrived at approximately 9:15 am and made our way through the gates into Paisley Park. We booked our tickets ahead of time on their website, and they were pretty pricey- at over 50 dollars for the cheapest tour option. We were met by a security guard, who checked our tickets on our phones and told us where to park our cars. We waited outside the building for several minutes, until we were let in by a different security guard, who went over several basic instructions that we had to follow while inside Paisley Park. We were first instructed to turn off our phones, and told to put them in a locked bag that we carried on our person during the duration of the tour. We were told that if anyone was caught taking pictures inside the building, we would be escorted out and banned from the property for life. After the security guard finished his instructions, he let us into the lobby of the building, where we checked in with the front desk. The tour started promptly and the tour guide was very knowledgeable about Prince and his life. Throughout the tour, we were able to watch several short documentaries, as well as several short news media clips that featured Prince. I was able to gain more insight about his early life and how he discovered his passion for music. We were also able to tour his studio room, along with a room that featured over 300 of his custom made shoes. We toured his living room/lounge area where he frequently used to watched basketball games, as well as some rooms that featured his biggest hits and memorabilia. The tour guide did an excellent job narrating the entire tour and explaining what we were seeing in front of us. There were also several informational plaques located in front of his memorabilia that provided more insight on the importance of that particular piece. Towards the end of the tour, our phones were unlocked and we were able to enjoy a Prince concert, while also lookin at some of his memorabilia, such as several of his cars, motorcycles, outfits, and musical instruments. At the very end of the tour was a lounge area, where one could spend as much time as they wanted. There were drinks and coffee that were available for purchase, that one could enjoy in the lounge area, while listening to Prince music. There was also a small gift shop, along with bathrooms available at the exit.

Tip: The entire tour lasted roughly an hour and 45 minutes.

My wife & I celebrated our birthday weekend by traveling from NJ to see all things Prince in and around Minneapolis. We capped off the weekend by taking the Ultimate Experience Tour at Paisley Park. Our tour guide, Heidi, who lives nearby did a FANTASTIC job taking us through Prince's house & museum, and she was able to add a lot of personal stories that one might not hear otherwise. It was clear that she was a huge admirer of the artist. The space itself was incredible, and even though they lock up you phones during the tour (except for the last part of the tour), those images will remain in my memory forever. Plus, for $25 you can always purchase the tour photo album (which is very well done by the way) at the end of the tour in the gift shop. Besides Heidi, everyone we met from the gatehouse guard to the receptionist who greeted us, to the other fans on our tour (there were 10 total) were all GREAT! The day prior to our tour, we visited the Electric Fetus record shop, which was certainly a highlight just to be able to browse their immense collection of vinyl, HOWEVER the Paisley Park experience is not to be outmatched. If you are just a casual Prince fan (like I was), you will come away with even greater respect for the artist and what he accomplished in his life. If you are a serious Prince fan (my wife) then you just checked off an item on your bucket list! Thank you!

I went on the 90 minute tour which was very interesting. I'm not a huge Prince fan (I went with some other big fans) but I found the tour well done and interesting. The guides and everyone who works there are huge fans and have lots of personal stories to tell as well as the tour route. It was a bit smaller than I thought, but there was time to spend in various areas and everyone seemed very satisfied.

No cameras allowed for most of the tour, but actually that probably means that everyone listens to what is being said and people aren't pushing in front of you to get pictures. Swings and roundabouts!

If you don't book a tour, they will let you go into the gift shop, which would also be fun for Prince fans I'm sure (merchandise is not overpriced, in my opinion).

Amazing!! My hubby & I traveled from Ohio to tour Paisley Park & attend the Musicology concert with Meshell Ndegeocello Valentine’s Day weekend. It was an experience we will never forget. We are huge Prince fans, so this trip was on our bucket list. EVERYONE was kind & professional from when we entered @ the gate all throughout the tour and again that night for the concert. Corri was our tour guide & she was very knowledgeable, answered all questions, & seemed to be a big Prince fan herself. Just the way she spoke about him & his life & accomplishments, she seemed just as much in awe as us. She appears to have her dream job, loves it & it shows! So glad we had her as our tour guide. We did the PPE tour, next time will definitely do the VIP or Ultimate, as we will most definitely be back again. A lot of the other reviews talk about the logistics of things & are pretty accurate, so I will not. As for the concert, I’m still on cloud 9! It was so amazing. The only thing missing was Prince himself. Meshell & her band were awesome! I think Prince would be proud. He loved her, her style, & music, so for her to perform his music on his stage in his home, couldn’t have been more fitting. The DJ who kept us entertained until the show began was also very good. Some helpful info: 1) they serve alcohol during concerts, 2) our general admission ticket was just as good as the other options (not a bad seat in the house from what I could see), 3) take advantage of the shuttle they provide as it makes getting in/out so much easier & it’s included in the ticket price, 4) coat check available, 5) you’re seated for the concert. Hope that helps. This was a trip of a lifetime & we miss Prince now more than ever. There will NEVER be another like him! ❤️

This was by far the most memorable tour I've ever been on. I could feel Prince in every single room we went in. This place was simply AMAZING and well worth it. We did the cheapest tour and our tour guide was AMAZING - she went well over the 30 minutes and was so knowledgeable!
