The only aquarium in the U.S. that focuses on freshwater exhibits, this three-story waterfront structure is ready for public viewing after a year and a half and almost $34 million. Plenty of interactive exhibits and re-created habitats are fun and educational for children.

We went with our 13, 10, and 9 year olds. I would say they were mostly not impressed. The aquarium is neat, but definitely caters to the 6 and under age group. The touch tank was a highlight, and the exhibit on sunken ships was...More

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Aquarium despite the nearly $60 bill for our two adult, two child (3+) family. The timing of our visit allowed us to see the feeding of the otters, which was pretty amazing. We enjoyed learning about local...More

It was a nice little aquarium, with several hands on exhibits for kids. Mostly local fish, with a few more exotic ones.

Nice stop for a few hours. Lots of hands on exibits and enough to keep 11 and 12 year olds attention for 3 hours! Highlight are the hands on displays and feeding time in the big tank. Staff was friendly and professional.

We liked what we saw but I was disappointed somewhat. Some of the exhibits were not labeled, some were mislabeled. I'm glad we went but it was not high quality.

mainly geared for kids, if our children or grandchildren were still young we would be inspired to bring them to this .

Most of what is at the aquarium is native to Minnesota. Still very cool! Lots of fun hands on things for the kiddos to do.
