Watch seagulls soaring while you stroll around this popular spot, part of the revived Duluth waterfront. Nearby are a sculpture garden, jazz clubs, coffee shops, motels and restaurants. If you like ships, stand on the pier and watch huge boats and ships, some from around the world, come and go daily.

We've never seen a bridge like this or ships like these. The park itself is quite nice along shore of Lake Superior. There is a food truck with snacks and lots of people were picnicking on the grounds. Iron ore ships, which are unbelievably long, ply these waters and were fascinating to watch as they passed under the the Aerial... More

Canal Park is a year round destination, the summer is a no brainer as a fun place to visit but the winter viewing is second to none. On cold days the Lake Superior steam is so the cold, water looks as if it's boiling. Check it out, dress warm and bring a camera.

Stroll along the lake on the lakewalk, or step onto the smooth stones and into the brisk Lake Superior water. Grab a couple and toss them into the lake; see how far they can skip! Watch an ore boat go through the piers, tour a little museum, enjoy a Segway ride, jump on a bike, or take a jog with... More

We could not have chosen a colder night to see the lights of Bentleyville, but it was worth it. 4 million lights displayed over 20 acres. Plan on a couple of hours and dress warm! Not sure if the kids in the strollers were having a lot of fun and it was so crowed, it had to be tough on... More

The view of Lake Superior is fantastic and of course is paying attention you may see a ship coming in and when is is on the horizon you have 45 minutes to get to the overhead bridge and canal.... While the weather was cold, the views are still spectacular. It was neat to see the chunks of ice floating out to sea as the last boats of the season left the harbor. With snow pants and warm coats we were able to enjoy the boardwalk which was clear of snow and the Maritime Visitor center was an interesting place... More
