Spectacular in the winter

We went hiking to the falls and they are wonderful in the winter. It was a lovely day with a gentle snow falling. Great view.

The trail was easy to follow and were maintained. The falls were beautiful. One of the better falls on the North Shore. There was no fee. What for the geese in the road and keep an eye on the Border, the entrance is right before the border and it comes up quickly while driving.

What a hidden gem. And a free park, to boot! Definitely worth the hike in to see these breathtaking falls. Two beautiful vantage points to look out over the falls. Take time to walk to them both.

We stopped here during our travels up and down the North Shore for a look at the falls. Of the many beautiful waterfalls up and down the North Shore this one is one the easiest to access and it's the biggest. The walk is easy and when you get to the falls there are three viewing platforms. Two are accessed... More

On our way to Canada, and this was a nice surprise for us. A half mile hike to the falls to relieve driving fatigue and beautiful scenery. Also, lots of informational plaques along the walk about the lives of the Ojibwe Indians. The path is paved and has benches, so should be accessible to most. There are stairs at the... More

Only a half mile easy walk from visitor center to these impressive falls. Right after you cross border from Canada. Good to stretch your legs after driving.

Trail is groomed and easy. Some off shoots of the main trail along the river that are more rustic. Interesting information signs to read along the way. My daughter and I didn't have time to take the more difficult hike to middle falls as well, but would like to next time we are there. The high falls have several viewing... More
