A beautiful drive in the car or you can bike it. I'm sure this is spectacular in the fall time. Well worth the time to take the scenic drive.

We rode this at 8 am and it was quiet and beautiful. Scenic, takes you past sevl kool lakes. Beware, several good size hills require strong legs or granny gears or both! Still, worth the 17 mi bikemrde, quite, lovely. Id do,itvagain, for sure. If youre not a biker, it is an easy drive by car. Tho the car will be... More

Drive through the woods was pretty even though a big storm took out many trees a month ago - they are working hard to clean up all the fallen trees

Nice drive around the park, lots of stopping points throughout the drive to get out and look at. It is only one way for a portion of the drive, so be sure you want to do the drive before you start.

This is a gorgeous 11 mile drive down a perfectly maintained one way, asphalt road. The old growth pines are beautiful. This is even a great activity to do in the rain - it does not lose its beauty in the wet weather!

Loved the pine trees and saw a few animals on the car ride. Great chance to let the kids roll the windows down and enjoy some free sites!

You really can't miss this road as it is part of the park road system. The 7.5 mile stretch is one way and shared by cars and bicycles. It is plenty wide to get safely around bicycle traffic but be cautious. So much to see you should drive slowly and stop often. Walks to see posted items are fairly easy.... More

Prepare to learn history while having fun and walking across the headwaters of the Mississippl River. There are many beatiful trais where wildlife can be observed.

Traveling along the Wilderness Drive within Itasca State Park - it reminded me of many other remote and pristine places I have traveled within our country. Namely - many of the backroads at Yellowstone National Park, as well as Minnesota's own - Gunflint trail. I loved it!

We try and bike the whole thing from Bear Paw Campground every year. It's beautiful, but challenging...lots of up and (thank goodness!), down. We usually pack a picnic lunch and stop at the Bohall Lake Trail and hike in to eat beside the little lake.
