Root River is a beautiful river in southern MN. I biked the easy Root River Trail that runs along the river and was very impressed ! Although I never stepped foot in the river I saw many people canoeing, kayaking and tubing.

The trail was easy to ride with gradual inclines .We rode from Fountain to Preston , then on to the Barn Campground(only steep climb for about 1 Block) for a snack and then finished the ride to and Lanesbo

We've been coming to the area for years now to relax at a B&B and ride the trails. We enjoy biking at our own pace, taking in the beautiful scenery, getting good exercise and returning for a leisurely dinner and an evening walk about town....More

Loved it except the signage was non existent letting us know of a huge trail closure. The good news is that it got us to Waylen for pie.
