Hard to believe this is in Lanesboro. I would encourage theater fans to take an adventure here and see a play. Excellent. The actors pulled us into the play and we felt we were part of story.

We have season tickets to commonweal theater . We love this theater. Plays run a number of months so you don't have to race to a performance that is only on for a few days! Professional actors& actresses who at times take on more than one character. Only a couple more performances of prides crossing. Christmas show starting in a... More

Prides Crossing was showing. They did a great job with the storyline. Enjoyed the second half of the play the best. There is not a bad seat in the house. Seating is very comfortable. The intermission Cafe was warm and inviting.

The play portrays a true story of the life and times of Florence Foster Jenkins. It takes place in the 1940's. I don't want to reveal the story because it should come as a surprise. Coincidentally, another portrayal of FFJ is making the rounds in a movie starring Meryl Streep. I recommend seeing both. As for the Commonweal Theater and... More

Love this little theatre-excellent way to spend the evening. We saw Souvenir in a packed house which was done so wonderfully from the singing to the acting to the set design. Just a really well done theatre company. Kudos to this community for having this type of quality theatre company and all the wonderful people involved in it.

I've been fortunate to have attended this theater at least 6 times in the past 3 years and have enjoyed it every time. The semi circle tiered seating means there are no bad seats and the quality of performance exceeds community theater expectations. We were just back this last weekend and saw 2 plays the same day; matinee and evening... More

How nice to have a repretory theater in a small town. We are able to visit with the players of one play (as they sell you your ticket, direct you to your seat) when you attend the other. We have always enjoyed the Commonweal. In fact, it is why we choose to go to Lanesboro rather than the many other... More

Beautiful theater. Actors were better than I expected. Costumes, scenery, very well done. Three Musketeers was very good. Would definitely return for another play.
