World class scenery and terrain.

The ancient Sawtooth Mountains rise 1000 feet above the coast of Lake Superior-topography unlike any other Midwest locale. And that brings more of what you want in a ski trip. More runs. More elevation. More epic days. You'll find the very best Mid-America has to offer-the highest mountains, the most snow, and the breathtaking beauty of the North Shore. Lutsen offers 95 sweeping runs over four mountains with a lift-serviced vertical rise more than double that of other regional resorts.

I was blown away by the skiing at Lutsen Mountain! I live in Southeastern WI and was very hesitant to make the 8 hour drive to Lutsen, I mean you could fly and drive to a location out West in that same amount of time. I can say that it was worth that 8 hour drive!!! The runs are long,... More

We took our kids on a first ever ski vacation to Lutsen Mountain. The scenery was breath taking. For this late in the season the overall condition was very good as well. I was taken back by the overall cost to ski there however. For my wife, 17 yr old daughter and myself to buy lift tickets and rent skis... More

loved this place and the ski runs- for more advanced skiiers but they had good runs for beginners. The lifts were great too and fast. We ended up with a beautiful spring day and the snow was in okay condition and very skiiable. Loved the Gondola ride even went on it just for a break and to enjoy the view.

This was my first time skiing, we came on the family fun weekend and got free ski rental with our room and ski package. Although I only stayed in the Big Bunny hill, I had a blast with my husband! Maybe next time I can venture out. There are many, many ski trails here and multiple mountains! Come for a... More

We have spent three of our last four annual spring ski/snowboard trips at Lutsen. It is the biggest and best ski area in the midwest. We seem to like this place more and more every time we ski and snowboard here. We have found midweek deals at a very good price. The place is also nearly empty midweek with little... More

My husband and I have skied Lusten Mountains twice and we can't wait to go back. There are a variety of runs for the entire family. The new gondola is such a great addition. I can't say enough good about this place, we just love skiing here.

My son and I took our annual ski trip to Lutsen Mountain in January. We were greeted with a wonderful snow day. We parked next to the Bridge Run bridge so we could jump on the slope as soon as the lifts opened. The lifts opened at 9:00 am and we headed down the run at 9:10. It only took... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. From what we are reading it sounds like you visited midweek, our midweek hours are 9:30a-4p with our weekend/holiday hours being 9a-4p. Aside from that when we do get large amounts of snow it can take us additional time to get our operations up and running safely. On Moose Mountain... More

I have been going to Lutsen every year with friends for several years now and have made many great memories. I went his February and could not believe the prices! Everything has jumped: lodging (Caribou Highlands), rentals, and lift tickets. You will easily spend a a few hundred dollars, not including gas, food and drinks. Our townhome had a slow... More

Lutsen offers the closest thing to the experience of a true mountain resort without having to devote very significant time or money to travel. At just over 4 hours from Minneapolis, Lutsen is just close enough that you can drive up after work, and drive home after a day of skiing, and not have to devote a full day and... More
