Landmark of Penang
Jul. 2020 • Family
Colorful & very big buddhist temple with nice view... but quite far from downtown.... even though it's landmark of Penang, if you have to use public transport, you can skip...

The cable car lifts are getting improved.
Dec. 2020 • Friends
We spent time to revisit the temple for third time and it seems that the lifts are improving. We do enjoy this afternoon session with air conditioning in the lifts. Unexpectedly there is a shuttle car for us to get access to Guan Yin Statue.

Must visit
Sep. 2020 • Friends
Many spots for beautiful photos. When we visited, there were not many visitors. The temple is tranquil and peaceful. We took the lift to go up to the Kuan Yin part of the temple.

It is very beautiful.

Trust me, your memory card will be filled so fast here
Jul. 2020 • Friends
Prepare an extra memory card. Every where around is a good place to take a picture. Not just the building, but the view itself.
Don't skip the huge statue. To go there, you can take a paid trem. The city view is clearer compared to other area

Impressive
Aug. 2020
The approach to the temple is impressive - when you see the scale of it from afar. Up close, you lose that, but gain in the proximity. The statue at the summit is enormous.

Upgrading temple
Jul. 2020 • Family
Nice view to overlook Penang at top of the hill.

Trams service available as well.

Less crowded during the rmco period of time.

More open parking lots at the toe of the hill.

Some part of the temple still upgrading and hopefully will complete asap.

A very beautiful temple
Feb. 2020
Kek Lok Si temple is very big. Every time of nearly chinese new year will be open the light at night, you will feel very beautiful. There also can buy some souvenir. If you drive your car to there, you need to pay the parking fee RM3. If you didn't have car, you need to buy the cable car ticket RM10 if no mistake. I feel very enjoy when go there because you can walk around there and take many photo. I also got worship at there.

Stunning temple
Feb. 2020
A beautiful temple that is a must visit if going to Penang. Visited during Chinese New Year and it was lit up with the most incredible lights display - I couldn't believe how beautiful it looked. Make sure you get the lift to see the Bronze statue of Kuan Yin which you can actually see from the top of Penang Hil! Truly amazing

"The Pagoda"
Nov. 2019
I am glad that after I revisiting the temple after some years, there are some changes including the Kek Lok Si temple was more decorated and lit. For me, the most special thing is the pagoda temple is built on the hillside. The striking seven-storey Pagoda of Rama VI (Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas) was very marvelous and it makes me amazed of it...
