Large area of lakes and rivers. Beautiful vistas of the city and surrounding country. Nice place to go for a walk or just drive around if you don't have much time.

I'm a bit biased on this one as I grew up in this area. There were so many things to do we never got bored. Parks, lakes, parkways. Bikes, swimming, fishing, ball games of every sort. Overall great area.

Oh yes, in the summer, anywhere that has a patio allows dogs, and will offer water for them, lots of people run and bike with their dogs, there's a dog park over by Cedar Lake too - it's not big, but lots of shade.
