Lake Calhoun is worth visiting and spending the day walking, running, biking or roller blading. You can also rent kayaks, paddle boards or lay on the beach and swim. Bring a picnic and spend the day! Loved it!

Very clean and well cared for city lake. Walking and bike paths that go all the way around the lake. Beaches that are well kept with plenty of parking available.

Nice walking trail to share with a friend. Fun to look at the grande homes new and old. Lake frequented by water fowl.

Lake Calhoun connects with Lake Harriet. So going around both is a little more than 6 miles. Just a wonderful place to be. A real crown jewel for Minneapolis.

I always have a great time here. There are a few different beach spots to chose from. You can bike, jog, walk or cruise around the lake any hour of the day

Stopped by for a mid morning walk around the lake. It was busy with lots of people jogging and walking their dogs. Many really beautiful houses along the lake to look at when the beautiful scenery gets old. I found my dream house, too bad...More

I'm not sure why this place is always so popular. Personally I don't think it is that great, and it is always over crowded with hipsters. I know a lot of people run around the lake, and with the billion stop lights around the city...More

I can usually be found visiting this area several times a year. I love it for the trail, the activities, and the atmosphere. Definitely a place to go anytime during the year.

I'd give it five stars, but I get angry when I think about the politically correct trying to change the name. Don't know why it's called Lake Calhoun? You and me both until they started fussing over it. It's about a 5K around and there...More

I didn't pay anything. As everyone has mentioned, free to walk, picnic in the lawn etc. I didn't pay for my street parking.

I believe there are kayaks at Lake Calhoun. You can check the Minneapolis Park aboard site for the fee structure but I recall seeing them there.
