I have been here a number of times and always enjoyed it. We would drive from Western Wisconsin to come here for a short time, as the place is so fun and inspiring. From the mini door for the little ones to use for entrance, to the chickens and cats that roam around free, the store definitely encourages your imagination.... More

Such a cute book store with a chicken you can pick up and cuddle. I recommend for familys to see lots of animals and read some paper books

From the moment my five year old grandson said, "Wait Grandma, I go in my own door!", & he opened the child-size purple door, in the 'adult' door, I knew we were in for a treat! And what an experience it was! We were greeted & helped to see everything there was to see (which was a lot!) by caring,... More

We went here for the "free range" animals, but the book selection is awesome as well. My girls were amazed by the cats and chickens, not so much the books :)

I've got to say this is a very unique place. Cat asleep in the front window, tarantula in front of counter, Silkie chicken chilling out, fish tank in bathroom, ferrets, etc. etc, around the place. Very cool. My girls love this place. I read a few of the other reviews and seems like people are looking for a psychologist when... More

A client of mine recommended we visit this place while in Minneapolis briefly and we went out or our way rearranging plans to make sure we could get there. I really wanted to like this place. The exterior is so cute especially with the kiddie door they have. Inside just as cute! But no one greeted us, talked to us,... More

This bookstore is amazing! From the small purple door within the front door for kids to the cats and fancy chickens roaming about, this place is magic. They have a variety of other animals in cages throughout and had the best selection of children's books I've ever seen. If you have kids you must visit.

When we first walked in I was super excited because they have such a wonderful selection of books, and they even have cats, chickens, birds, and a couple other animals in the store that my son loved! I was highly disappointed in the service! Not one associate greeted us, helped direct us in the right direction, or made us feel... More

In the Linden Hills neighborhood to see a home goods store featured in Better Homes and Gardens and couldn't resist stepping inside this gem of a bookstore that was next door. Once in, we were greeted by shop cats lounging in a patch of sun. A few steps further in and we were surprised to find two chickens cruising the... More

A great children's bookstore with a super vibe. There is a kid's sized door within the main door, which kids love to use! There are several bookshop cats, usually sitting up high and looking down on their subjects. I've also seen hens walking around! There are comfy chairs all around and quite often they have authors in to read their... More
