I hadn't been to the Foshay Tower since I was a little boy with my parents. At the time it was the tallest building in Minneapolis. It was amazing to look around from the observation deck and see all the taller buildings. The Foshay is a step back in time. It's meticulously maintained and well worth stopping in. We had... More

The Foshay Tower was well known by the flat-landers of Minnesota and the Dakotas. My spouse's visit as a a child was a highlight of her first visit to Minneapolis. On this semi private (no crowd) visit I enjoyed learning about Foshay's rise and fall and climbing to the observation level for a view. the tower, formerly the tallest in... More

Drove there today for a trip up to the observation deck. After coming in off the street walk straight back to the desks set up at the end of the hallway near the elevators to get your tickets. We asked for two tickets and were informed that that elevator was out of commission. I asked when it would be running... More

Funky lobby - antique elevators - small museum at the top and great view over the city. Worth the effort

Purchase your tickets at the front desk. Even though the observation deck is "only" 32 stories off the ground, the views are fantastic. Some negatives: 1. The deck is narrow and it was a tad challenging squeezing past other guests. 2. The concrete wall was too high for my tall 9 y.o. to see over. She was only able to... More

I spent 9/11 at the W and talk the elevator to the top not knowing what to expect. Wow what a super kool place to visit I felt I was back in NY at The Empire State Building. What great history with the tower, a must visit in town

We are bunch of tower fans. We do all of these, just go up and see the view. We weren't disappointed at all. Reasonable charge to go up, the wind added some fun. It was well worth it.

I stayed on the 23rd floor of the Foshay as part of the W, and went up one day to check it out. Very cool history here, I recommend going to the top floor if you are in here!

Really nice lobby, took the elevator to 30th Floor. Small museum and outdoor observation deck which affords good views of surrounding buildings. The lobby and elevators are very pretty.
