We had a wonderful time walking the 2.8 mile trail around the lake on a beautiful fall day. Nice wide trail. I’d like to run here someday. Highly recommend!

Lake of the Isles is located in beautiful south Minneapolis (an area known as Uptown) about three miles from downtown. It is one on a chain of city lakes, and is particularly enchanting due to its curving coastline with inlets and coves as well as...More

The lake is pretty big and the walking trail is quite long but is worth it. Its great for biking as well. Good fishing too.

This is a great place to walk in Minneapolis. Nice walking path separate from bike path and fun cafes nearby.

Lake of the Isles was a favorite of mine when I lived in Minneapolis. It's an interesting walk, maybe three miles around. Tons of big old houses. My wife loved it.

Lake is the Isles is by far my favorite lake to walk around in Minneapolis. The atmosphere of this lake is quite different than others; it is relaxing, peaceful, calming, and quiet. Love this lake!

This is my favorite lake to walk or bike around. There are no beaches or sailboats, and there are fewer people than some of the other Minneapolis Lakes. The islands make it more interesting. They are bird habitats. Some of the lakeside homes are architecturally...More

We canoed from Lake Calhoun to Lake of the Isles, and it was a lot of fun. We tied up to a dock and enjoyed a picnic dinner while watching the fish and turtles in the water. This is a great family outing.

We drove around the lake on the loop road. Busy with beach goers, sunbathers, paddle sports people, bikers and joggers. Many beautiful homes around the lake

There's free parking around the whole lake. Usually no problem finding a spot and you can start anywhere around the lake.
