I love visiting this park with friends or by myself. It has a lot of trails to choose from to vary the length of your hike. It's like a choose your own adventure. I've always felt safe hiking by myself in this park. Very dog and family friendly! My favorite time to visit the park is in the winter as... More

Many easy hiking trails and lots of beautiful water all year round. Warning: horses are allowed on some trails. So watch there you step. Because there is a lot of water, it can get buggy in the summer.

Great quiet spot for a mini adventure. We went to a backpack camp spot right by the lake. There were a few hills and it had rained quite a bit the night before we arrived, but we made the 3/4 mile hike to our spot and set up camp easily. The camp site was very flat with a food box,... More

I just love Lake Rebecca State Park. The hiking trails are nice but I use the horse trails the most. Easy riding with some gentle slopes and not much rock.

The Big Woods hike is a very nice, 5.5 mile loop through the park. I was expecting the area to be relatively flat, but was surprised with all the hills throughout the trail. The trail takes you through and nicely forested area passing by quite a few small lakes. This is a great hike to see fall colors. Be careful... More

Me and my fiancé went to Lake Maria state park in October for a hike and to see the fall leaves. We had not heard much about this state park but we were pleasantly surprised! It is an absolute gorgeous place to see fall colors, with lots of great walking trails, bird watching spots, and canoeing/kayaking. We were really surprised... More

This state park has a natural and secluded setting that isn't over populated with users. Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the trails. Horseback riding is allowed in this park. It has lakeside settings as well as beautiful wooded hiking trails. Wonderful colors in fall. You can also make good use of winter time activities here including snow shoes, country... More

This is a pretty park to visit in the fall. The trees are beautiful when they change color. However, if you camp in the summer, the camping is primitive & infested with mosquitoes, & some sites are miles back, & you have to walk. Bring mosquito repellant with DEET or you will be sorry!! I recommend driving thru this park... More

I love the trails. Some are more hilly than others, but I like the workout! The scenery is beautiful, especially in the fall. We've seen the turtles around the water too. Great for anyone!
