The historical society museum isn't large, but it has a moving story about the town, it's residents, and the 1918 fire that destroyed the town and much of the region.

There are lots of artifacts to see in the Moose Lake Historical Society. It is located in what used to be the local train station. Although there are signs on 371 which are hard to miss, the the site can be hard to locate since...More

Went with my family on a bike trip and stopped to see this depot in Moose Lake. Really enjoyed this Museum and all the history. The hosts were very informative and friendly. Didn't really know what I was expecting but was pleasantly surprised. Love learning...More

It is a smaller museum but defiantly worth stopping to hear the history of the fire that happened here around 100 years ago. Good place to take a break from driving and stretch your legs a bit if going up north.

Dropped in to see the museum, which was unfortunately closed. The buildings of the museum, however, are old railroad depot buildings, which themselves are pretty cool. We appreciated the few outdoor exhibits and the map on the side of the building showing the huge extent...More
