Love this park but it needs to reserve spots or have ways to protect campers who have paid for spots
Aug. 2020 • Couples
We stay at this park when we come visit our kids at the local college. Normally we don't have any issues. We have a class B sprinter van and we were lucky to get the last available spot today on 8/14/2020. We paid for our spot and connected out hoses and electric cords, taped our paid $20 site tag onto the picnic table and even wrote the name of our spot #1 (LOVE the new signs btw), and placed it in the entrance to our spot along with our cooler before driving out to dinner. When we returned, there was a group trying to pull their rig into our spot and the people across from us were carting off our picnic table that had our PAID TAG on it. My husband told the campers looking at taking our spot that we had paid for it already , and then asked the people who had taken our sites picnic table to return it. They refused, but did give my husband our paid tag back when he insisted on it. If we had been 5 minutes later, we would have been out $20 and had nowhere to park for the night. Class B campers are a huge segment of RV life, and this park seems to have no way of protecting us when it comes to our paid for spots. Please either consider taking reservations or adding spots to display rented spots on those lovely new site signs you installed.

Ice Fishing
Jan. 2020
Ice Fishing at Pomme De Terre Park is pretty awesome. Community of it's own. 30+ ice houses. A social place as well to gather and exchange notes. Highly recommended to experience. And entrance at Lake side is plowed to get in! Give it a try

A nice park near town
Sep. 2018 • Friends
Our group of 12 camped here for a night. It is good sized park with lots of space. I didn't care much for the showers. Campers have a good view of the river. The campground is a mile or two to downtown.

Camping excellence
Jul. 2017 • Couples
We did a long fourth of July weekend camping here for four nights and found it to be extremely reasonable and clean and quiet. They have water hookups and electric- although the city website lists just electric. The shower house is small but it wasn't crowded even on this busy weekend. There is a walking trail that goes nearly into town and around the river- it was a five mile hike! For just $20 per night, this place is a steal. The campground hosts were awesome and helpful!

Camping in the City Park
Jun. 2017 • Family
A beautiful park and quiet campground on the Pomme De Terre River. First come first serve sites with new rustic sites added or many electric/water sites for pull through/back in campers. The splash pad is sure to be a hit with any age! Nice handicap bathrooms and showers. A 9 hole disc golf course is nicely shaded! The campground hosts are friendly and helpful!

Inexpensive and clean

This is a great park with frisbee golf and a splash pool as well as many trails. There is a very nice campground here as well. Camping is very inexpensive. They have a walking and biking trail that goes right next to the two wind turbines in the park. Very cool! Also have docks and fishing right on the river. This is a great overall park you would expect to find in a much larger city.
