We visited on Friday, May 12, 2017 in the morning. There were only two other cars in the park, so we had the place to ourselves. The roads, open spaces and trails are very well maintained. We were a few weeks early for the swimming pool (it opens this year on June 2). The pool appears to have full access... More

They have great camping...including two cabins that can be rented. Located right by city limits. In winter they rent cross country skis and snowshoes. They have groomed trails. In summer they have a sand bottomed chlorine/filtered pool. Has handicapped access to water.

This park is beautiful. Boarders the city of New Ulm, MN. Has acres of forested land filled with deer and other wild animals. Fort nature walkers is supreme.

This is November? 72 and sunny and there are still plenty of leaves on the trees down here. Great geocaching opportunity here and so convenient that this park is so close to town for last minute amenities. Great trails here and wildlife galore. Very nice shelters for taking a break. Nice interactive features here and there.

This Great State park has it all. It is a wonderful place to see the beauty of a river valley and has a host of trails as well as a summer beach. The camping is prefect all year round, although winters are cold cold cold in Minnesota.

It's amazing to have this beautiful park adjoining our city! I took a hike on one of the many trails that wind through the woods and along the river. It's so peaceful out there! And in summer the lake-like pool is a great place to cool off or watch grandkids build sand castles.

Seems small for a state park, very near the residential area of town. It's rather like a city park. Campground area seems okay from a drive through and the pool is convenient to it, if rather small. Nice shaded benches around it, however.

Terrible beds, either broken or worn out, terrible! If you don't get a decent night sleep you can't enjoy playing like you should be able to. If it wasn't for the beds it would have been a higher rating. Still trying to recover. Of course, they said, no one else has ever complained, They just didn't get this way over... More

came back for a summer weekend. campground was busy. we had a nicely shaded campsite in the non-electric section, right off the hiking trail (#9) that gave us some privacy too. on Saturday night a big storm came in, and both the park staff and the local sheriff's office came in to warn everyone in advance. much appreciated!! the hiking...
