My family age ranged 28-84 went to see Away in the Basement. A totally enjoyable evening. The Chruch Basement Ladies Christmas play. Fun and silly, we laughed and smiled through the whole play. Very enjoyable. I have been to 4-6 plays and enjoyed every one. Reasonably priced for a play in the Twin Cities

We attended Church Basement Ladies - the Christmas play - Away in the Basement. The characters did an awesome job making us laugh and enjoying a fun evening out.

We saw Away in the Basement and enjoyed it immensely! It was such clean humor but definitely aimed at 50+ to "get" some of the jokes. We ate at Green Mill (upstairs) after and that was also fabulous.

This is a small intimate theatre which we have visited many times. It has a long history of having great shows.

First of all, never would have found it as it's located in basement of Green Mills Restaurant. Very small venue. Was looking forward to seeing Church Ladies in the Basement for years. Was okay, but not hilarious although heard others laughing. Definitely not worth $32/person.

We visited for a matinee performance of "Rise Up, O Men." This is a laugh-til-you-cry play. Loved it! It is a small theater with not a bad seat in the place. You feel engaged with the actors, although (for the most part) they do not involve you in the performance. They do recognize groups or individuals celebrating something special if... More

Hello Coffeemug! So happy to hear you enjoyed the performance! Online ticketing fees are $3.25 per ticket, but you are absolutely correct that it is much cheaper to order over the phone where the fee is only $3 per order. If you are looking to avoid ticketing fees altogether, you can always walk up to the window to order tickets... More

We always try to catch a show at the Plymouth Playhouse when we return to Mpls each summer. This year was another grand slam hit with the men in the kitchen. The play, officially another in the series of the Church Basement Ladies: Rise Up O Men, was another laugh a minute. The ladies were funny as always, with spectacular voices,... More

I had heard from a couple people that this play was funny! We got a good deal through Groupon, but did not realize that there was only 1 person in the play! I wish I would have read the reviews on this site before I booked the tickets! We went on the last day of the production and I have... More

Plymouth Playhouse as a whole is a great venue (thus the positive rating) and I'd say most of the times has great shows. Big Pants & Botox on the other hand, which I was very much looking forward too, thinking it would be incredibly funny, was the worst show I've ever seen...anywhere. It was not funny at all, which it... More
