Hike to the top of Barn Bluff for the incredible views. One lookout on the west side looking up river at Red Wing and far beyond. The other, across the entire bluff on the east side looking down the river and lake Pepin, as far...More

One can get a great sense of the Mississippi River's swath made in the land when standing on top of Barn Bluff. In the distance is Lake Pepin that once extended up to St. Paul. The paths are enjoyable. It is also interesting to see...More

Nice little hike. We took the south Trail up to the east trail. View was nice. Good work out in the morning to get the body going.

Nice little hike with family (ages 5, 11, 13). Good view of red wing at the end. Doesn't take too long but parking is a pain.

The entrance was surprising but the trails were gorgeous and well kept. Lots of stairs. Beautiful views. Definitely worth the hour drive.

I spent a couple hours on the bluff, hiking most of the trails and taking lots of pictures. It's steep in many places, but the views can't be beat. Saw lots of other people there, including children and seniors. Popular place, but not overcrowded. Looking...More

Be sure to stay on the paths on the south side of the bluff. The views are magnificent and it's a safe and moderately strenuous hike.

The hike up the hill was a little difficult. The incline was kind of steep. I have some issues with walking. Other wise the walk wasn't to far to the top. The path is a beaten trail. The view at the top was amazing.

Around 4 miles total if I remember correctly. Perfect for a day of light hiking with some slight uphill climbs.
