Interesting because we've used their shoes...looked at museum videos of shoe making and pics of their history. Their shoes are an investment, but worth it if you need a work/outdoor boot.

In Red Wing as a tourist you must see the Red Wing Shoe history. - 1 floor has good prices, if you can find your size. Well worth the quick visit, less than an hour.

We went here just because we stopped in town and felt we should. It was great. The 30 minute video that describes the boot making process in detail thoroughly mesmerized us. Nice museum displays upstairs also, and the giant boot, well... you must see it.

I was cool to see a 638 size shoe. They also had an old sewing machine that the shoes were made on. Had a display of some of the older shoes, and how they were made. It was cool to see. Takes about 10 minutes...More

The big boot was cool to look at. Other then that, I'm not sure I'd ever go back. I went to the "cheap" section downstairs, there's nothing cheap there. Pretty spendy for me.
