About
Intriguing because of its narrow gorge which has created many potholes along the bottom of the river.

Cute and easy hike. This is hike is mostly kid friendly, and has great views. Some parts of the river at pretty shallow, so kids can wade in it.

This park is fantastic. Maps are well-designed once you enter and want to choose trails. Despite the parking lot being just alongside the main road on the north shore, you quickly feel as though you're in a more remote and rugged location. Walking over sheer...More

Beautiful area and definitely a must stop. Waterfalls, gorge and one overlook right off the highway 61 that everyone can view. We hiked to the gorge and there was a waterfall right in the middle of it. Stunning.

First, to echo what some others have said--keep children away from the edges, and don't take chances yourself. The rocks can get slick, and I personally know someone who DIED after slipping into this river. On the other hand, use the man-made overlooks to get...More

I have been coming to Temperance River State Park since I was a child and try to make it for spring runoff when I can. In the park section, the trails take you up a series of 5 distinct waterfalls (one of which is almost...More

Great falls close to the main road with a short walk. Also more falls to see with a slightly longer hike.

We don't usually stay at the same state park twice as we are trying to hit them all but this is a favorite and there is so much to do in that area that we keep coming back.

Quite a few folks were swimming here on the beach and jumping in from the walls of the canyons around the Temperance River. A nice pedestrian bridge offers views of the falls, the river and the beach where the river joins the lake.

We were staying at Lambs Resort and walked over to the overlook by the bridge and viewed the falls. Gorgeous place. We didn't check out the whole park. We did walk down the trail to the lower area and then back up. Nice place.
