The historic courthouse was worth the visit. They do free guided tours. Perhaps the most intriguing part was the jail area. You can see graffiti on the walls of the cells left by inmates. If you love history this is a must see.

Stillwater is full of shops and restaurants. For an interesting change of pace, head up the hill from downtown and visit the historic courthouse and jail. When we visited in December they had a Victorian Christmas display throughout the building and a civil war exhibit....More

My wife and I toured the Courthouse on our own, it would probably be better with a tour, but we still enjoyed all the reading, pictures and architecture, it was better than we thought it would be.

Interesting look at the courthouse. The jail is inside. It is shocking to learn when the jail stopped being used. Check out the nooks and crannies.

The docent provided an hour-long tour of the building. Informative introductory video shown. Docent provided good commentary all throughout. The Historic Courthouse is now open 10:00am-4:30pm on Saturdays, with guided tours available at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
