We got the ride though this Hai Van Pass. Awesome. Very spectacular views. And this is the natural fence to protect the Nguyen dynasty land in the past. Must try!

The weather was great and the scenery took our breaths away. Best enjoyed with a car or bike. We joined a bike tour from Hue to Hoi An and were wowed by the view.

Enroute from Hoi An to Hue, for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City, our group experienced the Hai Van pass. What a spectacular drive on a beautiful day it was, compared to my last visit in 2013 on a wet & very misty December...More

We had just done the length of Son Tra Peninsular (Monkey Mountain) and decided to continue to Hai Van Pass, to take in more spectacular views of Da Nang and the coast. We were in a car so did not have to worry about the...More

We rode a scooter from Hoi An and went through Da Nang to get to Hai Van Pass - took about 1.5 hours. We stopped at the Lady Buddha along the way which was amazing. After reading some reviews we were a bit apprehensive about...More

Although the train line follows the stunning coast road along, at this point the train and car part ways! The Hai Van pass is a 'must do' en route to Hoi An from Hue. It's one of those 'tick boxes' type of routes that are...More

This place is approx. 500 meters (1500 ft) above sea level so it’s pointless going up there when its overcast or raining. For good views north and south, only go on a clear day. This is a historical site which marks the border between north...More

stopped here on our way from Lang Co to Da Nang. Its an interesting place, but its manic and full of wanabe Japanese models having their photos taken. Worthy a 10 min stop to overlook the city, but the historical significance has been lost now.
