Premoted and paid the price for what was advertised as Delux and comfort tour ( these are the exact words from the company website )what I got was a child's bed the sort with metal frame a trundle bed underneath with what looked like a foam mattress. Neither the tour company or the hotel had a problem with this being... More

We spent two days touring with Peter along with our 19 year old son. We did "Out on the Somme" and "Fromelles to Ypres". It was so full of information and so interesting, we had no direct connections with these battlefields, however we all learnt so much, and now as the names and places are being talked about here in... We spent two days traversing the Western Front battlefields with Peter, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our time with him. Both tours we went on were comprehensive, informative and delivered with such reverence that you quickly realized that Peter has a deep emotional connection to the soldiers who fought here. The tours are from an Australian perspective and the stories... More

I joined Peter for the Out In The Somme and the Fromelles-Ypres tours, was an amazing experience, Peter is very passionate about the Diggers and this shows with his knowledge. As I was searching for 3 graves of family friends Peter was only to helpful to accommodate this especially by changing a tour to find 2 graves that were out... More

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Europe. Peter has an immense knowledge of the whole area and he puts it over with passion and a great oversight. To stand and hear his explanation of the various places we visited was excellent. He picked us up at Arras from the La Corne dÓr and we proceeded... More

Peter from Western Front Tours is passionate about keeping the history of Australia's involvement in WW1 in Europe alive. He knows his history and he explains it well. He tells a good story. We came to understand some of the personal sacrifices young Australian men made during those war years. Peter makes a tour of this nature well worth the... More

This was a father and son trip, something I'd recommend for every 18 y.o. Peter was just outstanding. Amazing knowledge, great stories, never to be forgotten.

After spending nine years on family history research, the time and opportunity came to visit the Western Front to visit the burial sites of four family members, plus a further two members with no known burial sites but whose names are inscribed on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial. After much research on options available to visit the sites, we chose Western Front... More

We did the tour - and were the other couple mentioned in the previous review. This was an important day for me, visiting Fromelles where members of my family fought and died as was Bullecourt where my wife's Grandfather fought. The tour met and exceeded my expectations. Peter was passionate and almost driven but this was matched by his unsurpassed... More
