We toured the lighthouse and then camped at hike-in site 3 this past weekend. The site is right on Lake Superior. The kids loved throwing rocks for hours on end and we enjoyed the sound of crashing waves throughout our stay.

Breath taking views! We didn't take the tour due to time, but it would be worth it.. only 20 minutes. The hike is a little strenuous. Probably a 2.5. I could just sit and listen to the waves all day. Good gift shop too!

I did not visit the lighthouse, but went down to the coast just south of the light house to walk on the trail. Beautiful and peaceful area for family outing or couples getaway.

We stopped at the park but realized you had to pay. We went back to 61 and looked from the scenic overlook down the road.

Very nice and we'll maintained. Made homemade oatmeal cookies in the antique oven. Could be a little cool so bring a jacket. Great views and really interesting.

Whether you are interested in history, lighthouses, or hiking, you will enjoy this place. The scenery is beautiful, the staff is informative, and the trails are steep. There is a $10 fee.

You would need a State Park permit to go hiking in the park. Daily permits are $5 per vehicle.
