Very interesting and our tour guide was very informative. Friendly and it had such science views Warning a fair amount of stairs to climb while exploring the different building on the Lighthouse grounds.

We drove up the North Shore to Split Rock over Labor Day weekend. We could hardly find a parking space, so I would suggest not going over a holiday, but it is a nice place with walking trails.

Leanne was our tour guide. She was outstanding in every way! The grounds and lighthouse are very nicely maintained and are very nice to be able to experience. The lighthouse, lighthouse keeper's residence, and fog horn building were all open to see. Great to experience....More

This is a fantastic spot to stop and hike from the lighthouse down to the shore of Lake Superior. Fantastic photo opportunities.

Great hiking trails that offer gorgeous views of the lighthouse. The trails are a little steep here and there but the end result (the view) is absolutely worth it. Very busy state park but you can still get away from it all and enjoy some...More

Some fun walking trails to explore on the land around Split Rock Lighthouse. Great to see an iconic MN landmark up close and from different viewing perspectives.

You would need a State Park permit to go hiking in the park. Daily permits are $5 per vehicle.
