Mr. Noetenberg would be rolling over in his grave if he knew how commercialized the place has become.

This is a popular spot for prom photos. You can pose by flowers, the lake, by columns, under a pergola, or in a gazebo. All are lovely. Be sure you read about restrictions before coming. I think pets and food are not allowed.

We stopped by on our way to the General store in Minnetonka. While not a true botanical garden, it is a well maintained and beautiful place with a lake view an all that remains of the Noerenberg estate. Worth a visit.

This formal garden is a study in pink, purple and white. The curving, overflowing beds are very well maintained and carefully thought out. The lakeside gazebo is a beautiful place to sit and relax. There are beautiful vistas for picture taking at every turn some,...More

June at the Gardens was magical for small, intimate weddings. Ceremony for our daughter in the gazebo with waves of the lake splashing below, was memorable. And what a place for wedding photography. You have to reserve the gazebo. Check it out!

A lovely, albeit small formal garden on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. There is a gazebo overlooking the lake which has a great view and which serves my wife and I as a free mini-cabin on the lake, readily accessible from the western suburbs.

Spring, summer and fall, this garden is gorgeous. It's constantly changing with new color, textures and scents as the plants grow, bloom and die back. The garden is designed beautifully with unique plants and plant combinations. A special place for a intimate visit with nature.

Bring you camera, beautiful grounds and right on Lake Minnetonka. Though you can't swim. Gazebo has great views and the gardens are wonderful.

My daughter and I stopped by there on a whim one weekend while driving around Lake Minnetonka. What a pleasant surprise! So quiet and pretty, lots of flowers and LOVE the boat house deck. And so many places to take beautiful pictures.
