Golf Carts are now available to rent. Guided tour of the home showing how life was lived by the President and his family and self guided grounds (Varina's Garden, Cemetery, and nature trail), Museum, separated into 3 sections: Rotating Gallery, Soldier's Exhibit, and President Davis Exhibit. Research Library including reference books to accommodate most genealogy research focused on the Civil War.

This was very interesting, lots of historical information. The house and grounds are beautiful. Veterans and military get an entrance discount, which we appreciated.

Museum is full of beautiful relics from days past, and the cottage itself is beyond words...the restoration and historical accuracy are mind blowing!! The gardens and walk ways are so wonderful!! LOVE!!!

We spent quite a while at Beauvoir. The house has been greatly restored since Katrina. It was interesting learning not only about Jefferson Davis and his family but also about houses and decoration of this period. There is an extensive museum in the library building....More

Such an interesting place. Our guide around the house was most informative. We watched a video before viewing the house which was also helpful. The cemetery was quite moving. All in all is definitely worth going to.

took 2 hours to tour this 52 acre former home of Jefferson Davis. This includes a main house where we listened to a 20 minute narrated tour and viewed the various rooms. Also a short walk to the Confederate cemetery where about 700 are buried....More

We toured the Museum and Library while waiting for our group tour of the house to begin. Our tour guide was very personable and was very descriptive of the furnishings and the building structure. Jefferson Davis was an interesting historical figure. Definitely worth a few...More
