Real plantation commissary turned bar and live blues venue! Great hospitality from owners James & Cathy! Recommend staying in their Loft apartment made from old seed house!

The coolest place to be in the Delta. Not to miss the Sunset shack. A cosy, funny, cute little house at the end of the complex. We had the chance to be there while the cotton wasn't yet harvested, an additional charm to the place. The little shack had all one needs, including a kitchenette. Great sleeping in two queens... We spent five days in the delta and our ten-year old's favorite memory of the trip was the two nights we spent in a shack! When we checked in, she was pretty hesitant but by the time we checked out, she was convinced that it was the coolest place we'd ever stayed. I agree. (Make sure to get permission before... More

.....from the venue itself and Robert the bartender. Please do pop in for at least a beer, Robert will tell you all about the history and answer any questions you have on the area, great guy! The venue, a crazy collection of abit of everything all jammed in one place. No restaurant or live music playing on Tuesday when we... More

Cool atmosphere, great old building to stay in. Haunted? ;) The guitar was a nice touch, and though we didn't stay long, the size of it is such that we could have.

I visit Hopson Plantation every time I'm in Clarksdale. Always enjoy speaking with the bartender (Robert) and learning a bit about the history. These are good people in this establishment who have been invested in the town of Clarksdale for along time. Make sure you stop by and tell them hey when you're visiting. They're always welcoming and will make... More

Definitely not a 5 star, but really cool! We stayed in a Grain Bin and loved it! Rooms were clean and the decor was just amazing. Beds were very comfortable, but the pillows could be better. Love, Love,Love, will be staying here again!

Had a great time here with our group. They hosted our registration and meet/greet for the first night. The next morning we had arranged for breakfast with them. Really fun venue with (also) lots of history. Probably if you don't enjoy blues music or history (of any kind), then don't bother!

A few minutes away from Clarksdale and a different atmosphere than say Reds or Ground Zero - not as crowded and easy to get a table/seat (and a drink) near the performers and feel a real up close connection. Saw George Brock and this legend is still performing so well - beats a TV reality/ new faces show any day.... More
